Software Support

Diversified Data Systems is justifiably proud of the quality of our OpenTechnology  systems such as OpenMETRIC, OpenPROTRAK, and OpenEMBARC.  Our excellent Software Support Services have also contributed greatly to the universal success of our client organizations.

Since we normally provide a LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY on OpenSystems, you will not feel “forced” to purchase Software Support in order to correct bugs and defects in your System.  However, our Software Support Services are so valuable and helpful that virtually all of our clients have elected to invest in these services.

The Basic level of Software Support is included in our new Subscription program.   Software Support Services are also available through an annually renewable Software Support Agreement.

BASIC SOFTWARE SUPPORT

This is the minimal level of Software Support Service.  Subject to certain reasonable restrictions and conditions, Basic Software Support includes the following features and services:

1.                  You are entitled to unlimited, toll-free, telephone assistance.

2.                  You are entitled to New Versions and Updates to your licensed software products and components.

 3.                  You will receive a Newsletter that describes enhancements, changes, programming notes, workarounds, and documentation corrections.

 4.                  We maintain a current, working version of your entire System on our computers at all times, complete with comprehensive sample test data.  This permits us to IMMEDIATELY answer your questions about the use or operation of your System.

 5.                  You are entitled to our significantly reduced Preferred Professional Services Rates on enhancements and modifications you may elect to add to your System.

 

OPTIONAL ON-SITE CONSULTATION VISITS

At your request, we will quote fixed-price On Site Consultation Visits to be scheduled at your convenience.  We normally recommend two visits per year.  The prices are requoted annually.

You may elect to prepay for these visits, or you may elect to be invoiced when we actually make the visits.

During these Consultation Visits, we are available to perform one or more of the following:

            Install new enhancements;

            Conduct training on new enhancements;

            Conduct “refresher” training on your System;

            Evaluate and tune the performance of your computer system;

Evaluate your use of the System and suggest improvements in the way you use the  System;

Evaluate possible enhancements to your System, which would improve productivity, efficiency, or data accuracy.

These visits will help to ensure that you gain the maximum benefit and return from your investment in your System.

 

OPTIONAL SOFTWARE ENHANCEMENT CONTINGENCY

 At your request, we will quote an allowance that you can apply to minor modifications and enhancements to your System.

You may elect to prepay for these enhancements or you may elect to be invoiced when we actually deliver the enhancements.

This contingency will help to ensure you the quickest possible response to your requests for enhancements and modifications.

 

OPTIONAL ONLINE DIAGNOSTICS AND OPERATIONAL ASSISTANCE

At your request, we will provide modems and operational support to permit us to directly access your System in order to provide diagnostic or operational assistance.

You will need to provide a dial-up telecommunication line, a computer port and necessary equipment and software.
