WonderServer™

WonderServer is a remote file server technology that provides file access services for our products using the VISION database.  The VISION database can run on a UNIX, Windows, or other TCP/IP-based networks.

WonderServer provides remote file access services through the use of a memory resident program (daemon) which runs on the server.

WonderServer provides access to remote data in any TCP/IP network, including the Internet.

The WonderRun runtime module recognizes access requests to remote files and uses TCP/IP socket calls to WonderServer to fulfill the requests.

For most network protocols, notably NFS (Network File System), WonderServer minimizes network overhead, resulting in improved performance.

WonderServer also improves reliability and integrity of the database, especially when network instabilities or other telecommunications flaws would otherwise introduce errors or failures.
