WonderODBC™ and WonderODBC Server™

WonderODBC allows popular Windows-based applications (e.g. MS Word, MS Excel, MS Query, MS Access, Visual Basic, Crystal Reports, etc.) to access, display, and manipulate data from our products which use the VISION database.

WonderODBC enables you to benefit from modern PC productivity tools.

WonderODBC Server supports remote processing on a UNIX, Linux, or Windows NT/2000 server.  With WonderODBC Server, SQL processing can occur on a remote UNIX, Linux, or Windows NT/2000 server, which can provide better performance and which enables you to manage your system resources more efficiently.

WonderODBC complies with Microsoft's Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) standard.

Generally, WonderODBC is level 1 API compliant, with a few minor exceptions.  WonderODBC also supports a few functions from Level 2.

Once WonderODBC is set up, data access is typically transparent to users.

WonderODBC is available in a "read-only" as well as a "read-write" version.  The read-only version protects data from attempts to add or change data.  The read-write version allows you to declare certain data elements as read-only, while allowing other data to be added or changed.  Both versions allow you to "hide" certain data elements from users.
