WebWRITER™

WebWriter allows users to retrieve WonderWriter reports via email from browsers over networks, including the Internet. With a Web Server and TCP/IP network connections to your OpenMETRIC software and data, you can choose to allow your customers or employees to:

• View a List of Authorized WonderWriter Reports
  

• Select and Execute a WonderWriter report, receiving the results via Email

The WebMETRIC modules are CGI programs that use HTML templates.  We can modify or expand these queries, changing the data you wish to display as well as the colors, fonts, logos, and styles.  These queries can be added to your own web page(s).

The following web page displays links to WebMETRIC, WebWRITER, and ThinMETRIC. 

View My WonderWriter Reports

When the user clicks on this link, the following screen appears.  The user can enter filter information if needed, and press the Submit button.

The system displays the following list of WonderWriter reports that are available to this user.

The user can page through the list with/without filters for Report Name, Title and Primary file.  Alternatively, the user can have the list of available reports emailed as an attachment.

If the user chooses to have the system run the "CAL_ITEMS" report, the user would receive the following email.

When the user opens the attachment to the email, the following report would be displayed.

Note: When contemplating WebWriter, you'll undoubtedly want to know what security measures are available.  The WebWriter modules rely on user authentication provided by the web server software.   Your system administrator will decide on firewall issues and a user authentication method based on your security needs.  The Technical Support group at Diversified Data systems can provide more information on how to set up the Web modules based on your unique environment.
