OpenPROTRAK "More" Buttons Additional information about the OpenPROTRAK item can be entered or displayed from the following buttons: For additional information about each button, select from the following:
Identification InformationThe Item Identification screen contains additional item information. The system fills the Orig Mfr/Model and Orig Sub Category fields with the Manufacturer, Model, and Subcategory when the item is added to the OpenPROTRAK Item file. The user can then update these fields if necessary. Remarks and User Defined FieldsThese are additional item fields that are accessed via the button titled “Remarks” on the item screen. Labels for the User defined fields are defined on the Reference table. Your system administrator will define the user fields for your company. The system administrator will specify the labels for the user defined fields on the Reference file and will instruct you on the use of these fields. The system administrator will follow the instructions in the Reference function to change the user fields (see {P}LBL: PKITEM USER FIELD). He may “program” any of the user fields to automatically fill in system information (logon id or system date and time). Hazmat CommentsInformation about hazardous materials related to this item can be viewed and/or edited on the Item Hazardous Material Comments screen. Acquisition InformationDisposition InformationDocumentsThe Related Documents Screen contains a Paged Grid Control that allows entry, modification and deletion for a list of documents associated with an item. When in update mode, the user can right-click on the Type column to see a list of OpenPROTRAK document types as defined in Reference. User Defined ButtonsThe untitled buttons in the More frame are User Defined buttons. The title and action for each user-defined button is defined in Reference. Your System Administrator can use Reference to assign a title and an action to these buttons. For example, your System Administrator could set up a button so that it is used to bring up Microsoft Word and open a specific Word Document file, or open the FAR Part 45 from a .gov web site. The reference key {P}BTN1 TITLE QIT is used to specify the button title for the first user-defined button. The reference key {P}BTN1 PROG QIT is used to specify an action for the first user-defined button. Item StickerAn item sticker may be printed from the item screen. After you have selected the desired item, click the Sticker button. You may also print the item sticker from the Reports tab. The sticker is printed according to a template that has been prepared at your site and is available for your use. Note that if the format of the sticker changes, your system administrator will change the template and the format of the printed sticker will change accordingly. The fields that may be printed on the item sticker are:
The template file for the item sticker is \omet\data\template_item_sticker.txt. This file can be updated by using a text editor. The available fields from the list above will be printed at positions indicated in the template by the “~nn” entries. The software recognizes the tilde and sequence number as insertion points. The fields that are inserted are identified below:
