OpenPROTRAK Inventory On-Line

The OpenPROTRAK Inv On-Line tab contains a screen where the user can create a list of items and specify a new Location for those items.

To use the On-Line Inventory function:

1. Build the item list.  The item list is entered on a grid control.  The user can type an item id on each line in the grid.  To lookup an item, place the cursor over a line on the grid and right-click.  A paged list box appears that displays OpenPROTRAK items.  Select an item and click OK, and the Item ID will appear on the grid line.

Note:  Only OpenPROTRAK items can be entered in the list.  If you enter an invalid item, an error message appears.

2. Choose a new location using the field finder button to the right of the Location field.

3. Click the button titled “Apply New Location to Items In List” to apply the changes.    The system applies the location to each item on the list, and then it removes that item from the list.  If errors occur for an item, a message occurs and that item remains on the list.
